Each year, Region 9 holds a Stallion Service Auction at an  event held in January.  The 2010 SSA brought in over $11,000.  One half of this amount is donated to the Youth Foundation AHA Region 9, Inc. scholarship program to support the youth of our Region who wish to continue their college educations and have a financial need to do so.  The other half of the proceeds from the sale will be paid out in the 2012 Region 9 Yearling Futurity classes held at the Region 9 Championship Show in June.
